Thigh Society, is a company that began with a personal problem and grew into a remarkable business success. In 2008, Marnie wasn’t trying to build a brand. She was trying to solve a need, and a lunchtime walk set that idea in motion. What followed was a bootstrapped company built to $40 million without outside investment, without retail experience, and without a full-time team beyond herself. We’ll talk about the strategy behind that growth, what she had instead of venture capital and a large staff, and why Thigh Society has stayed focused on a problem that affects women of every size. Beyond the product itself, Marnie also recognized that thigh chafing was a real consumer issue worth addressing, and that business insight helped shape the company’s success. Elizabeth is joined by Marnie Rabinovitch Consky, CEO & Founder, Thigh Society.
